What are the goals of classroom management? What do you think are the most important principles of classroom management?

Well, first we have to define what a classroom management is, this is a term used by teachers to describe the process of ensuring that classroom lessons run smoothly despite disruptive behavior by students. Also we have to take account that term is closely linked to issues of motivation, discipline and respect. Methodologies remain a matter of passionate debate amongst teachers; approaches vary depending on the beliefs a teacher holds regarding educational psychology. So we have to take account what I believe, what I use in my class and what is the methodology that I’m going to use.

Managing a class is not an easy thing you need a good lesson plan, but you also need a good attitude, a good management of your knowledge, and your own method. You, as a teacher, can’t motivate your students, but you can inspire them to want to learn something new. If you have a good management class, you will have discipline in your classroom because discipline depends of the management of your class and also in your classes have to be equal and all your students have to show respect for each other. For me, the most principles of classroom management are: Discipline, respect, and motivation.

What are your motives for teaching? What rewards or incentives do you get from teaching? How might your motives interfere with your ability to put the needs of your students ahead of your own?

Well, when I started this major was incredible I really want to teach but when I stand in front of people I feel very nervous so thought that would be a really headache. I always be very shy for reason it’s miracle when I’m teaching. I feel like a other person. I really love to teach and that is my motive. Before I start a class I always thing that I can’t do it, but when I start to teach, I want to teach the best that I can.

What are my rewards or incentives? Well my reward is when a student understands the topic that I taught. When they collaborate with the class, do their homework assignments and they ask questions about the something that they don’t understand. My purpose is that they understand English and then they will Love to learn English.

How might my motives interfere with my ability to put the needs of my students ahead of my own?
Well, if I love something, I will show that I love it. If they can see that I love to share what I know, they will ask me how to know it. Even though I have a lesson plan for each class if I realize that my students don’t understand the topic I have to make a review about the topic. The priority are my students not my lesson plan.

List the things you like about working with teenagers. Why? List the things you don’t like. Why?

One of the things that I like to work with teenagers is because that is a very complicate stage in which one most of the teenagers can’t find who they are. So they need a lot of help, they need a model and you can help them. As I said before, this is a dramatic stage and we, as teachers, have to be friendly with them but we don’t have to be their friends.

Things that I like to work with teenagers:
ü They pay attention when something catches their attention. I realized that in some cases they are very talkative, but when you say his or her name they stop to talk and then they pay attention because you know his/her name. Also, when you are going to do an activity, and you explain step by step what they have to do, and they understand everything they perform in a very good way that activity.

ü They are enthusiastic. When you do a new game they love it. They learn more through playing.

ü They are very intelligent. Even though, they don’t get a high score in the exam, I believe that they are very intelligent. Some of my students are really talkative and at the beginning they didn’t like to participate in class, one day I talked with him and tried to talk with him and they grades are better than one month ago.

ü They are responsible. In my case, I’m very proud of my students because they always try to do their homework assignments if they don’t do them they always give them the following day.

Things that I dislike to work with teenagers:
ü Well, they are very noisy. Sometimes they don’t show respect of your work and they just start to make noise.
ü Don’t appreciate their parents’ work.

What can the World Wide Web offer ESL/EFL teachers?

That is a good question, what can the www offer. I think the World Wide Web offer many things. We, as teachers, are living in the www, we use it almost every day, we have a treasure of
information, we can found many tools to change the way of our classes, improve our skills and the skills of our students. They are many web hosting in which ones we can found podcast and vodcast to improve our English. Also there are many pages about grammar, pronunciations, phonetics, spelling, listening, games, books, magazines, articles, and many resources we can use in our classes.

We can found information about everything but we have to be careful what information I use in my classes because not all the information is dependable.

How can the standard-features word-processing programs be exploited for teaching writing skills?

I think use standard features Word processing programs make your life a litter easier than 10 years ago because they do all your work. We, as teacher, have to use them in the correct way. For example, we have to know which areas they have problems; maybe they have problems to connect their ideas or how to express them, so we can use the standard-features word-processing not only to write an essay but also to share their ideas and feelings.

These kinds of programs you can use them in different ways. In my case, I’m not a good writer but I do my best when I have to do it. When my teacher asks me something I try to explain him what I think about his question. To write a blog is a good idea to improve their writing skill.
I can take advantages of the standard features word processing and take care about the uses that my students do.

Do you think technologies should play a central or a peripheral role in second language teaching and learning? Why?

In my opinion technologies play a very important role in second language teaching because we are living in a world in which we are always in touch with technologies. Like we know, we can use many resources to improve not only our skills; but also, our classes and the knowledge of our students. Right now, our students use many social networks just for spend time with their friends but we, as teachers, can use them to teach them in a better way. For example you can upload some videos, pictures, links, vodcasts to help your student or to add information that they already learned in class.
Using technologies can add something new and interesting in your classes, and catch the attention of your student. Also, you have a lot of tools using internet but you can't forget to check before all the information that you are going to use in your classes.
I believe that technologies take a very important role in this process but they don't take the central role in second language teaching. For me they are good tools in this process.

What do you think is the role of research in improving our understanding of teaching?

I think that is really important to research so deeply about the approaches, methods, and techniques not only to know the way to teach.

The role of research in improving our understanding of teaching it’s really important because if you understand something you are able to share that information with other people.

If you, as a teacher, understand the best way to teach you don’t use a specific method. You must use your own method.

If you want to create your own method you have to know what method is better for each class. You have to know how your students are, how the environment is, how much time do you have and the most important how much do you know about the topic that you’re going to teach.

You can’t stop to look for improve your classes and you have to be in mind that you job isn’t to be at the front and dictate your student, your job is teach your students.

What experience do you have of learning a second or foreign language? How would you characterize the teacher’s teaching method? How effective did you find it?

My experience of learning a second language is very interesting because when I was in junior high school my English’s teacher didn’t teach me in a good way and didn’t learned so much even though I got very good grades. I had two English’s teacher and both didn’t know how to teach. They used only the translation method and they only wrote on the board and that was all.

When I was on high school my story changed a lot because I had a good teacher not so good but she inspired me to learn English. I learned a lot and the most important thing was that I understood the classes. She used the Direct Method and sometimes she used the translation method. For that reason I decided to be English’s teacher. When I was in second and third year of high school I went to some English’s Courses at MINED.

Here at the University I knew that I really had to improve my skill because I had some bases but I really need an strong bases. The first year, I had two teachers that inspire my whole life because they taught English by their heart and that was wonderful. One of them used TPR, Audio Lingual Method, Direct Method, CLL and a lot of techniques. Every teacher that I know show me many ways to improve my English and I really hope to become a good teacher and use my own method.

What are the differences between teaching approach, teaching method, teaching technique and teaching strategies?

The teacher uses different approaches, methods and techniques to teach to his/her students. So, we have to know the different between each concept. An approach is a set of specific theories about the nature of language and language learning. A method is an orderly plan for the presentation of language material based on the selected approach. And a technique is an implementation strategy or trick used to accomplish and immediate objective. It actually takes place in the classroom. In other words, a way of presenting language to students. When we talk about an approach, you talk about something general, you are focus on the personal way of philosophy. It’s involve everything referring to teach. When we talk about a method, you talk about something more specific because is the way the teacher apply his/her philoshopy when he/she is teaching. And when we talk about a technique, you have to know that are all the tools that you’re going to use in your class. You have to take account that each class’ group is unique and you should take account all the environment in every single class.

Explain the most important purpose in Education

As we know, the most important purpose in Education is self-fulfillment, the main reason is because we, as teachers, are the responsible about our students’ education and our students have to live their life even though our world is not the best to do it.
Live the life is not an easy thing but we have to live it. We have to help our students to face as many troubles. In the real life our students are going to be whatever their want but sometimes they need that someone support them, they want someone say “you can do it” or “you can do it in this way”. That’s why we have to ask ourselves “Am I teaching to help my students? If I want to transform my world I have to change first the way that I think. That isn’t an easy thing but you, as a teacher, can change a little part of you and then you will see how your teaching transform.
How can I help help my students reach their potential to the fullest? First, I have to believe in them and not only care about the knowledge that they get, I have to pay attention to their spirits. Sometimes the students don’t believe in their potential because their parents don’t believe in them so they have many pressure to do their best if they flunk an exam they’re going to feel like a trash and that is not good, but if a teacher talks with him/her he/she will know that someone believe in her/his potential. In some cases, a student who doesn’t pay attention in class or is very talkative are very smart or only need that you talk with him/her and then she/he’s going to pay more attention. To have a good rapport with your students it’s really help you.
How can we, teachers, be a source of inspiration to our students? If you love to do something the people around you are going to love it, too for that reason if you love to teach and you take care about your students’ problems your students are going to have a good inspiration and they’re going to be a better person.

Why do you want to teach?

Well, if I want to define what transformational pedagogy model is, I would say that is a model in which one you have to take account many things not only dictate a lesson at the classroom. The transformational pedagogy integrates teaching the whole learner, rather than attending separately to academic, social, and spiritual goals. The book says that pedagogy is the art and science of instruction so this model pretends to change the way to many teacher teach. The teachers, in this model, need to be encouraged and affirmed in their roles. They have to keep in mind that they have to believe in their learners’ belief and potential, and help them to achieve their goals. Like the book says, “Transformational teaching begins with the learner, and transformational learning involves deep understanding and occurs in classrooms where teachers have high expectations.” How this model may impact lives of both pre-service and in-service teachers? I think that is pretty important to know this model because you can change your mind and think about how you improve the way that you teach, and your students’ belief. This model impact your live, as a teacher, because teach you how you’re going to be a better person and then a better teacher, even though for some pre-service teachers could be difficult to change the way that they’re accustom to teach and also, for some in-service teacher.
