What are the goals of classroom management? What do you think are the most important principles of classroom management?

Well, first we have to define what a classroom management is, this is a term used by teachers to describe the process of ensuring that classroom lessons run smoothly despite disruptive behavior by students. Also we have to take account that term is closely linked to issues of motivation, discipline and respect. Methodologies remain a matter of passionate debate amongst teachers; approaches vary depending on the beliefs a teacher holds regarding educational psychology. So we have to take account what I believe, what I use in my class and what is the methodology that I’m going to use.

Managing a class is not an easy thing you need a good lesson plan, but you also need a good attitude, a good management of your knowledge, and your own method. You, as a teacher, can’t motivate your students, but you can inspire them to want to learn something new. If you have a good management class, you will have discipline in your classroom because discipline depends of the management of your class and also in your classes have to be equal and all your students have to show respect for each other. For me, the most principles of classroom management are: Discipline, respect, and motivation.

What are your motives for teaching? What rewards or incentives do you get from teaching? How might your motives interfere with your ability to put the needs of your students ahead of your own?

Well, when I started this major was incredible I really want to teach but when I stand in front of people I feel very nervous so thought that would be a really headache. I always be very shy for reason it’s miracle when I’m teaching. I feel like a other person. I really love to teach and that is my motive. Before I start a class I always thing that I can’t do it, but when I start to teach, I want to teach the best that I can.

What are my rewards or incentives? Well my reward is when a student understands the topic that I taught. When they collaborate with the class, do their homework assignments and they ask questions about the something that they don’t understand. My purpose is that they understand English and then they will Love to learn English.

How might my motives interfere with my ability to put the needs of my students ahead of my own?
Well, if I love something, I will show that I love it. If they can see that I love to share what I know, they will ask me how to know it. Even though I have a lesson plan for each class if I realize that my students don’t understand the topic I have to make a review about the topic. The priority are my students not my lesson plan.

List the things you like about working with teenagers. Why? List the things you don’t like. Why?

One of the things that I like to work with teenagers is because that is a very complicate stage in which one most of the teenagers can’t find who they are. So they need a lot of help, they need a model and you can help them. As I said before, this is a dramatic stage and we, as teachers, have to be friendly with them but we don’t have to be their friends.

Things that I like to work with teenagers:
ü They pay attention when something catches their attention. I realized that in some cases they are very talkative, but when you say his or her name they stop to talk and then they pay attention because you know his/her name. Also, when you are going to do an activity, and you explain step by step what they have to do, and they understand everything they perform in a very good way that activity.

ü They are enthusiastic. When you do a new game they love it. They learn more through playing.

ü They are very intelligent. Even though, they don’t get a high score in the exam, I believe that they are very intelligent. Some of my students are really talkative and at the beginning they didn’t like to participate in class, one day I talked with him and tried to talk with him and they grades are better than one month ago.

ü They are responsible. In my case, I’m very proud of my students because they always try to do their homework assignments if they don’t do them they always give them the following day.

Things that I dislike to work with teenagers:
ü Well, they are very noisy. Sometimes they don’t show respect of your work and they just start to make noise.
ü Don’t appreciate their parents’ work.

What can the World Wide Web offer ESL/EFL teachers?

That is a good question, what can the www offer. I think the World Wide Web offer many things. We, as teachers, are living in the www, we use it almost every day, we have a treasure of
information, we can found many tools to change the way of our classes, improve our skills and the skills of our students. They are many web hosting in which ones we can found podcast and vodcast to improve our English. Also there are many pages about grammar, pronunciations, phonetics, spelling, listening, games, books, magazines, articles, and many resources we can use in our classes.

We can found information about everything but we have to be careful what information I use in my classes because not all the information is dependable.
